The multi variable multi constrained distributed constraint optimization framework

چکیده
Service coordination in domains involving temporal constraints and duration uncertainty has previously been solved with a greedy algorithm that attempts to satisfy service requests one by one rather than reasoning over their combinations to deal with intractable problems. We propose preprocessing using a model that abstracts away duration uncertainty, so that the simplified problem can be solved faster and suggest which requests should be addressed first based on reward and satisfiability. We define a new generalization of MC-DCOP, called MV-MC-DCOP, and use this as our model. We present a Mixed Integer Linear Program, a Partially Centralized MV-MC-DCOP, and a fully decentralized MVMC-DCOP approach to this preprocessing, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each approach.

Distributed Optimization
We demonstrate a new framework for analyzing and controlling distributed systems, by solving constrained optimization problems with an algorithm based on that framework. The framework is an information-theoretic extension of conventional fullrationality game theory to allow bounded rational agents. The associated optimization algorithm is a game in which agents control the variables of the opti...
متن کاملApplying Distributed Constraint Optimization Method to Dynamic Problem
A framework which applies distributed constraint optimization method using depth first search tree to dynamic problem is proposed. The proposed framework is considered as a basic model of multi agent system. The agents communicate with each other to solve the problem. Constraint network for the problem is built. Trees, which are similar to depth first search tree for the constraint network, are...
متن کاملMulti-Objective Optimization for Multi-Product Multi-Period Four Echelon Supply Chain Problems Under Uncertainty
The multi-objective optimization for a multi-product multi-period four-echelon supply chain network consisting of manufacturing plants, distribution centers (DCs) and retailers each with uncertain services and uncertain customer nodes are aimed in this paper. The two objectives are minimization of the total supply chain cost and maximization of the average number of products dispatched to custo...
متن کاملA multi-factor concept on guiding constraint relaxation in Distributed Constraint Satisfaction
Over-constrained can usually be encountered when some real-life applications are described as Distributed Constraint Satisfaction (DisCSP). When a solution is required in this case, one or more constraints should be released. This paper focuses on the constraint relaxation for handling such an over-constrained situation. Three types of influence factor, variable influence factor, constraint inf...
متن کاملA chance-constrained multi-objective model for final assembly scheduling in ATO systems with uncertain sub-assembly availability
A chance-constraint multi-objective model under uncertainty in the availability of subassemblies is proposed for scheduling in ATO systems. The on-time delivery of customer orders as well as reducing the company's cost is crucial; therefore, a three-objective model is proposed including the minimization of1) overtime, idletime, change-over, and setup costs, 2) total dispersion of items’ deliver...
متن کاملResource constrained DCOP solver using virtual variables and conventional pseudo-tree
The Distributed Constraint Optimization Problem (DCOP) is a fundamental formalism for multi-agent cooperation. With DCOPs, the agent states and the relationships between agents are formalized into a constraint optimization problem, which is then solved using distributed cooperative optimization algorithms. In the original DCOP framework, a set of objective functions is employed to represent the...
